Welcome to My Studio
My Story
Since 2018, I have been wholeheartedly dedicated to providing authentic and high-quality music education to students of all ages and backgrounds. My journey began as an independent piano teacher in Northern California, where I offered my services both at my home studio and local charter schools, including Golden Eagle Charter School.

In 2021, I embarked on a new chapter by relocating to the Rogue Valley. There, I embraced the role of a full-time elementary music teacher within the Medford School District. As part of my commitment to professional growth, I joined both the Oregon Music Teacher Association (OMTA) and The National Association for Music Education (NAfME).

Prior to teaching, I honed my piano skills through rigorous training at College of the Siskiyous and Southern Oregon University. I had the privilege of studying under world-renowned pianists, Dr. Chiharu Sai and Dr. Alexander Tutunov. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Master of Arts in Teaching (Music Endorsement).

My Teaching Philosophy
In my teaching method, I prioritize three essential components:

-
Differentiated Instruction: I tailor lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. Whether they are beginners or advanced musicians, my goal is to create a personalized learning experience that fosters growth and achievement.

-
Meaningful Music Experiences: I believe music should resonate with students on a deeper level. Through engaging and purposeful musical activities, I encourage them to explore their creativity, express themselves, and connect with the art form.

-
Safe Learning Environment: My studio is a safe place for students to explore their potential. I emphasize patience, dedication, and the joy of the journey. As Ralph Waldo Emerson wisely said, “It’s not the destination, it’s the journey." I am committed to empowering my students, nurturing their passion for music, and fostering a lifelong love for learning.

Parent
"My daughter has been taking lessons with Bethanie since January and has learned so much! She is very knowledgeable and great with kids. She makes learning the piano fun and interesting for them, she really gets them engaged. She is so sweet and very professional. My daughter loves going to her and our son recently started lessons with her as well and can not wait to go back. She caters her lessons to their age group and parents schedules, and her pricing is excellent. I highly recommend her!"
